The Healthy Chino Employee Wellness Program is designed for City of Chino employees to partake in wellness activities during their work hours. Some of the programs we offer are:
· Weekly recreation classes: Basketball, golf, tennis and yoga are offered to city employees to encourage and promote exercise and fitness.
· Walking: for groups and individuals, each person keeps track of their steps with a pedometer provided to them. The goal is to walk around the world 25,000 miles in 2006.
· Healthy Eating: to promote healthy food options for meetings, vending machines, after school programs and on a daily basis.
· Guest Speakers/Seminars: to promote and provide information to city employees on nutrition, skin care, foot care and healthy lifestyle options.
Newsletter articles: to provide city employees with information on ongoing programs, tips, accomplishments, facts on nutrition, health issues, and healthy recipes.
