Many people, especially women love to have a slim face. while dieting and regular exercise do work wonders, it would take some time. If you are looking for instant slimming effect, then a thread lift for slim face (ร้อยไหมหน้าเรียว, this is the term in the Thai) is the answer. A thread lift provides a less intrusive option to facelift surgery. By applying medical-grade thread to targeted areas of the face and gently pulling the skin upward, thread lifts promise to tighten sag and loose skin. The usual targeted areas are the forehead and neck, though some areas of the face are being treated too, depending on the overall condition of facial skin. Other targeted areas include the following:

    • Brow and jawline
    • Cheeks
    • Jowls
    • Under the eye
    • Other sagged areas of the body such as breast, especially for people who lose a lot of weight

How does a thread lift procedure work?

When the thread is tugged taut, invisible, painless threads cling to your skin to ensure that it holds onto the muscles and underlying tissue. The insertion of a barbed thread initiates your body’s mending process. Although the threads beneath your skin do not cause you any harm, your body recognizes the suture material and promotes the formation of collagen in the afflicted area. Collagen can restore the skin’s suppleness, just like when you are in your youth, and fill in the gaps left by drooping skin.

    Post thread lift expectations

There is practically little recovery following a successful thread lift. You can return to work immediately if you’d like, even though there might be some obvious bruising and swelling. Results should be seen immediately after the procedure, but as the swelling and bruises begin to go down, you might notice more desirable results in the coming weeks. All you need to do is trust the process and religiously follow post procedure instructions. A thread lift is not intended to produce long-lasting results. The typical duration of successful effects is one to three years. The threads utilized in the surgery will be absorbed by the underneath tissues. You can get back to your regular activities after a thread lift.

    • Your doctor might suggest that you avoid sleeping on your side for the first few weeks after the treatment and refrain from actively massaging your face.
    • It is strongly advised to skip using moisturizer for the first few weeks post procedure.
    • On the first few weeks post procedure, you are not allowed to take saunas or engage in high-intensity workouts.
    • When sleeping, not only will you sleep on your side, but make sure your head is propped up so as to avoid rolling over, especially onto the thread lift sites.

Overall, a thread lift procedure is safe and low-risk procedure. The recovery time is quick but the post-procedure instructions should be followed to avoid any complications such as intense swelling, bruising, and even the possibility of pain ad bleeding at the thread insertion site. It all boils down to how you care for your skin after the procedure.
